The Naked Archeologist

What a great show... the documentarian Simcha Jacobovici, is pushing (in a hilarious, irreverent way) the scholars to match or refute old and new testament stories with modern archaeological techniques... tonight it was whether leprosy (Hanson's disease) even existed in the time of Jesus. Clearly if it didn't exist, Jesus couldn't be healing lepers with his hands. Well, modern forensics proved the existence of Hanson's, so Jesus may well have healed with laying of hands. As a healer, this is wonderful news. Then he tackles Joshua, the ancient general. Good stuff.

I'm on the mend but agitated by a lack of energy... we had to postpone our clients until next week as I didn't want to expose anyone to my infections. We're upping Angeni's immune boosters and she isn't balking too much - she's a good kid. Very attached to penguins at the moment. I guess it's a good thing we're having a bit of winter or the penguins might bugger off.

Pooky has good and bad days... the prednisone is hard on her kidneys, but also makes her hungry too - she likes her food where she never used to do. I compare her geriatric constant care to the intensity of dealing with my mother in her later days of life.

Blessings to all in this new year...
